Tried Something Amazing... Homemade Frosting.. With that Special Butter..

A fantastic way to toss something special into your mix without it being overwhelming is to create a "Special Frosting" which is easy peasy!  (Takes about 10 minutes) It will give you a slight head change, but won't knock you on your ass... HEY you could even add it to some special cupcakes!!

What You Will Need
  • 1/2 cup (1stick) of special butter, softened
  • 4-1/2 cup of confectioners' sugar (the powdered sugar)
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 4 to 6 tablespoons of milk
  • hand mixer (it won't work well without one)
  • a bowl
This will make enough for about 24 cupcakes... so yes, plenty.

Step #1
Cream yo butter son. (when I first saw the term "cream your butter", I was like WTF does that mean!?!??.. had to call granny to find out, but luckily I now know and can share my knowledge.)
Throw your butter in the bowl, take your hand mixer to low or medium and go to town, just shove the mixy things in the stick of butter and mix the crap out of it until it starts to get fluffy-ish. Now above it says to make sure it is softened...this is why. "Hard" butter is almost impossible to cream so let that shit sit out for an hour.

Step 2#
Throw that powdery sweetness in your bowl with your creamed butter as you are still mixing with the hand mixer. This is what pro bakers call "mixing in". Go ahead and toss in the vanilla too.

Keep mixing.... mix mix mix mixxxxx.....

Now, to achieve your desired consistency or thickness of your frosting add your tablespoons of milk until you're satisfied.

TIP: If you want to conceal the specialness of your frosting creation, add some food coloring.

Once you are finished, you can top you cupcakes, cakes, fingers, ect with as much of this frosting as you wish... if you have some left overs cover that shit with saran wrap and toss 'er in the fridge.

The more practice you have the better your creations will turn out..Let me know how it works out for you... <3
